Paris

This is your free Paris city guide! This is the most romantic city in the world, and we love it very much. We go there every few years and always discover new things or experiences. If you have never been there, this is truly a must see city. Here are our personal recommendations …..

Despite a serious fire in April 2019, Notre Dame still has many places worth seeing, especially its majestic towers and Gothic carved stone. The central area will reopen in 2024, and when you visit, you will feel the impact of the fire and the scale of the reconstruction process. There is always a great atmosphere on the square outside the cathedral, surrounded by many people.

you will find it at the top of the Champs – É lys é es, the most peculiar transportation hub in Paris. Let’s go see those almost unexpected things, just like watching the Arc de Triomphe! Fortunately, there is a pedestrian underground passage to reach here, and you can climb to the top to enjoy the beautiful scenery (the cost is not high). When you stand by the Kena Arc, you can observe the layout of the city from left to right, extending in a straight line from the La D é fense commercial district to the Louvre.

this is the most famous street in the city. Basically, this is a combination of designer stores, chain stores, restaurants, entertainment venues, and car showrooms, but the sidewalks are wide and lined with trees, making it comfortable to walk even if you don’t like these shops. Anyway, you have to say you’ve been there! We found it best to walk down the mountain from the Arc de Triomphe.

If you have time to travel to this mountain, you will definitely love it. Especially the Sacred Heart Church on the mountaintop, and the artist’s square surrounded by traditional cafes in the village center. There is a cable car in front of the church to help with steep slopes, but be aware that Montmartre is particularly busy on Sundays. There are also many souvenir shops here, although they have some impact on this beautiful environment, if you want to buy such things, the prices here are much cheaper than on the Champs – É lys é es. Our favorite subway station is Lamark Caulincourt (which you may have seen in the movie ‘Amelie’). Then walk up the steps and continue climbing until you arrive!
